Hey dudes

So in the next fortnight I’m supposed to:

  • graduate from a Law/Journalism double degree
  • move house
  • finish working two jobs
  • finalise (begin organising…) a four-month tour of the “world”

I’m only asking for a little bit of help, have any of you travelled South America independently before? I’m going solo and I thought I would do some tours because I don’t want bad things to happen to me but I’m not exactly *rich* so if anyone can tell me about their experiences travelling around on buses, local transport, trains, whatever that would be great. My main destinations are: Rio, (maybe Bonito?), Iguazu, Buenos Aires, Cuzco, (Inca Trail/Machu Pichhu yadda yadda), Lima, Amazon (up in the Ecuadorian corner (or wherever else, I guess).

Also Central American suggestions are welcome. Kinda terrified of Mexico, but if you can tell me of rad places to visit in Costa Rica and surrounds, and preferably how I could go it alone, that would be awesome.

Also: ATTENTION AMERICAN INTERNET FRIENDS (and non-American friends in America, and real-life but still on internet friends with American affiliations)

I want to see you all in person, and I’m planning on doing a pretty comprehensive whirl around your continent, so tell me where you live and when you’re free and that you want to hang out with me! I’ll be in America July-September so bloody let me know!

EUROPEAN INTERNET FRIENDS (and not-so-internet friends)

I can’t hang around for long, as I’ll mostly be in Europe for a wedding and sailing around the Greek Islands, but if you live in England, Scotland, France, Spain or Greece, you should figure out some way of hanging out with me in June/July.
