Say hello to the newest member of my family… and for once it’s not a cat! This wee one is 11 weeks and 5 days old today and due to leave his/her comfy home inside me on 11th August. Today we had the first scan and it went amazingly, he/she was squirming around and stretching out in there; in fact in the last picture he/she is reaching and pushing up (aka raising the roof hehehe). Apparently all those reverse leg curls at the gym have been worthwhile as they had quite a bit of trouble getting a good picture due to my wonderfully toned lower abdominals. I told Stuart I had them, I’m just modest enough to cover them with a small pot belly to make others feel better. She totally pummelled me with the scanner because of it which was worth it when we saw this tiny guy (obviously using the un-gendered version of this term) bouncing like a bean. We saw the lovely from above shot and the from below shot (adorable too, I’m sure) and one where it’s minuscule legs and arms were sticking out infront. Pretty much an awesome day all around, especially as we bought ice lollies to celebrate (crunchie blast for mum, creme egg for dad).

It’s been hard not to mention this online until now especially seeing as I have been having to endure mega “morning” sickness, but on the plus side I am in bed by 7.30 each night so that cuts down of posting time of something too soon. But the embargo is off, I am pregnant and this is our baby.
