“Everything will turn out right, the world is built on that.”
—The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov (via freins)
“Everyone, at some point in their lives, wakes up in the middle of the night with the feeling that they are all alone in the world, and that nobody loves them now and that nobody will ever love them, and that they will never have a decent night’s sleep again and will spend their lives wandering blearily around a loveless landscape, hoping desperately that their circumstances will improve, but suspecting, in their heart of hearts, that they will remain unloved forever.”
—Lemony Snicket (via troubled)
Why isn't there mention, anywhere on Fairfax websites, of White Ribbon Day?
Surely right now it’s is particularly pertinent, given all this Sandilands rubbish and his supporters’ implicit support of threatening women.
Someone laughed at me today when they asked what my white ribbon was for. He parroted me - “to stop violence against woman” - in a gayboy voice. I don’t understand that reaction. It’s one that has to go, and it’s pretty important that it go as soon as possible.
Surely it warrants some press coverage?
“In your life, you meet people. Some you never think about again. Some, you wonder what happened to them. There are some that you wonder if they ever think about you. And then there are some you wish you never had to think about again. But you do.”
—C. S. Lewis (via troubled)
