British post-punk originators Gang of Four have a new album called Contentcoming out this summer. Which is cool and everything. But the band is building up excitement (and money) by offering a slew of reasonable-to-insane incentives for hardcore fans as part of an online campaign through Pledge Music.
£10 buys you the CD when it comes out.£950 gets you a trip to Glastonbury with the band in a helicopter. £45 gets you something called an “Ultimate Content Can” which includes the CD, an art piece by Jon King and Andy Gill “depicting the last 40 years of world history,” a “book of drawings of our emotions,” a scratch and sniff book, and— wait for it— “phials of blood.” And yes, we have confirmed, that the blood does indeed belong to King and Gill.
There are a lot of pretty outrageous items— Andy Gill mixes your track for£1,500!— so check all of them out here.

Cool!
